This policy brief was written based on an extract from the Political Economy Analysis research conducted by Gorée Institut for the countries of Niger, Burkina Faso and Mali. The purpose of the research was to identify the foundational formal and informal factors which weigh in to weaken civic voices that create barriers for women and young leaders participation in political processes.
